Commentary: USA USA USA
At 7:45pm EST (4:45 PT****) last night the showdown of the 2010 Winter Olympics Games occurred, at least in my mind.
USA vs Canada Hockey game was so intense, and the US team ended up victorious! It was such an intense game, but USA's (and my Buffalo Sabre's) goalie Ryan Miller did an excellent job in net. (It's MILLERTIME!)
Not only was I rooting for USA to win, but I also was rooting for Canada to lose. I want to root for Canada badly, because the Sabre's coach, Lindy Ruff, is the Head Coach of the Canada Team, but my pure hatred of Sidney Crosby completely cancels it out.
However, I am hoping Canada hangs in there, because I would love another USA vs. Canada showdown in a Medal Game, so USA can whoop Canada's you-know-what again.
Nothing too exciting, in my opinion, happening today: Ski Jump, Figure Skating, and Cross Country Skiing are the only medal events today and all of those events, I've already seen enough of them to really want to sit down and watch it some more.
Also, I do not understand Ice Dancing and the difference between Ice Skating, nor do I really want to.
****make sure, when looking at the schedule for events on the NBC or Vancouver 2010 website, know that the times are in Pacific Time (3 hours behind) because I was prepared at 4:45pm on MSNBC for some USA vs Canada Hockey action, and when I saw it was the Czech vs Russia game, let me just tell you I was devastated. NBC has a thing, where you can put in your zip code, and it'll display the times in your area.
