Imprint Magazine

Take out your phone for a moment, I wouldn’t doubt it’s close by. I'm also sure you just checked your latest text or browsed some tweets. Our obsession with our smart phones in this day and age is incredible; it's as if we treat them like our children. Think about it. We take them everywhere we go, we protect them, and we even dress them up. It seems like this year especially, phone cases have...

Summer Bucket List

My freshman year has been crazy. I say crazy in a good way. When I use this term, I mean extremely busy and stressful but also an insane amount of fun. Coming from high school, this year’s workload has been more than what I expected, but I stuck through it. Now with only three weeks left of school, the only thing on my mind is everyone's favorite time of year: summer.

My Glasses

Since I was five,
I used to pop out
the lenses of my sunglasses,
and walk around carrying books upside down
pretending I was reading.
I always wanted
glasses
so I could truly belong
in the library
ocular camouflage for the astute
eager to add a "professional" accessory
to my vintage, seven-year-old appearance.
So when I couldn't see
the chalkboard,
I called my mom immediately

The Art of the Pop Comeback

The pop music audience is a fickle one. What's popular now won't be forever. Today's Katy Perrys and Ke$has become tomorrow's Paula Abduls and Cyndi Laupers: hugely successful (for a time), and certainly remembered, but far from iconic.

Moroccan Multiculturalism

Ithaca College student Megan Devlin was among the lineup of American students standing across from the unfamiliar Moroccan families that would soon become their own. Her eyes met with those of a little girl who gazed back in familiarity. When Devlin’s name was called, the little girl ran into her arms, cradled her face in her hands and kissed her on both cheeks.

Opinion: Enough is Enough

Hardly any of this makes sense to me.

First, it started at a high school in Colorado and then happened in malls, movie theatres, an elementary school, and now a sporting event. These senseless acts of violence are slowly killing my faith in humanity. When will the people committing these violent acts realize that enough is enough?

Teams With The Most To Prove This MLB Season

The Major League Baseball season is quickly approaching, and for every team it is imperative that progress is made from the year before. This does not mean that all teams realistically have a shot or believe they can compete for a World Series. Rather, teams want to look for improvement, and prove to the rest of the league that they can be a force in their own right.

Fashion Capital Warming Winter Up with NYFW 2013

While everyone bundles up to brave the rest of this winter’s chill and dreams of warm days ahead, the buzz around New York Fashion Week debuting the Fall/Winter 2013 collections was enough to warm the blood of all fashion lovers.

Billboard Hot 100 Embraces Viral

Billboard Magazine, known for the music charts that it compiles and prints weekly, once again majorly changed the industry standard for the Hot 100 songs chart. This time, the change lies in the inclusion of YouTube views in the streaming component of that chart, which also uses sales and radio airplay to determine with songs are the most successful in a given week.

Game of Thrones Returns to HBO

March 31, 2013. Mark it down, folks. That’s the day that the third season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO. If you’ve been starving for knights, blood and backstabbing, the wait is almost over.
