But, they should have to pay their tuition and other necessities, if they are going to earn money from the university. Their biggest complaint is that they put long hours in and don't have time to work and/or time to study. Pay them. If they can't cut it as students, they need to either stop playing football and put their time into school (which will benefit them for the rest of their lives), or move on into the glorious pro career that accepts about 1 in 1,000 athletes per sport. Theres a reason march madness is one of the most popular events , thats because the players leave it all out on line for their passionate fans and school.If you pay college atheletes they will slack off and not reach their true potential. I think the atheletes take for granted that their geeting an education from top university, thats why you see so many college atheletes with attitude problems and getting in trouble with the law. By paying the college athelete you are putting him above the rest of your student body and you elevate the athelete and give them a false sense of achievement. Whens the last time you seen Lebron James dive for a loose ball,eaxactly).Give the athelethes money and they'll be on campus in their flashy cars,chains, and 'stunna' shades. I play basketball at a middle school level and on one of my teams i got paid, not a lot just like 500 bucks over the course of three and a half mounths, but come on, just pay the players(college that is) because they put in hours and hours of their time to practice. I mean they still have homework and stuff like that. Anyway, if there is anyhting else you know plese sent it to me on an e-mail. I need some help. Thanks you so much. There is so much good stuff on here that I had my P.E. teacher read it and he liked it.
