Peace On Earth

For college students across the country, the first two or three weeks in December bring the seemingly insurmountable mountain of final exams, papers and payback for all of that sinfully sweet procrastination. Know that there is a joyous time waiting for us all. It's the holidays, and believe it or not, they'll be here in a few weeks!

Here's a gem from Christmas past to get you into the holiday spirit, starring a surprisingly normal-looking David Bowie and a wisened cardigan-sporting Bing Crosby. Bing who has starred in some of my favorite holiday movies, like White Christmas and The Bells of St. Mary's, obviously retained that charisma that made him famous well into the 80's. And Bowie sounds absolutely wonderful, and luckily had the wisdom to know that there was no need for his usual (and don't get me wrong, fantastic) glam rock showboating. The message, paired with the classic song The Little Drummer Boy, is lovely and simple:

Peace on Earth
Can it be?
Years from now,
Perhaps we'll see
