The Return.

Ok, things have certainly gotten out of hand.  I need to make this blog something memorable.  It must become something.  Especially since I can’t have one in a little bit after I relinquish my role as Music Editor for Imprint Magazine.  What to do? What to do?  I have no idea….I’m not a plan type of person and I tried to come at this blog with a plan…it didn’t work…thus, doing things the old fashioned way doesn’t seem to work.  Sooooooooooo….I’m going to do it my way.

3 Bands You Should Be Listening To:

Weird.  Strange.  Upbeat. English.  There is no way to define this band any further.

I just recently cut a review for the new Squarepusher album, “Just a Souvenir” and I can honestly say it’s one of the most varied and eclectic albums I’ve ever heard.  Look for traditional jazz, downtempo, punk, post rock, and drum and bass.

McCoy Tyner

McCoy Tyner’s new album, “Guitars” feature legends/legends-in–the-making John Scofield, Bill Frisell, Derek Trucks, and Bela Fleck amongst others.  Tyner’s smooth, old school jazz feel layered over slick guitar makes this a must listen for a next week.

More stuff soon.  Promise.
