Pearl Jam "Reigns O'er" The Who

Happy Friday, Cover-Up readers! I was inspired by the rainy, foggy, and otherwise "crappy" weather we've been having to bring you this fresh little remake.

Both versions have swelling orchestral music and a powerful male lead screaming about love reigning o'er him. And yes, the two sound very much alike. But what both The Who and Pearl Jam have in common is that the both did a fantastic job with the same song.

Pearl Jam re-did the song "Reign O'er Me" for the movie of the same name (Actually, the movie is called "Reign Over Me," but whatever), and while the Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler movie may have been a box office bust, the cover is still pretty solid, and as emotionally strong as the original. Eddie Vedder's powerful howl only made it stronger.
