Maroon 5 Won't Look Back In Anger

Hello from the land of Beatles, Brit Pop, Blur, and other wonderful things starting with B. In honor of my belated post from London, I decided to go with another Maroon 5 cover of a British band. This time, it's Oasis.

Coldplay Wants You To Have A Merry Christmas

Christmas songs are pretty much always covers, unless they're originally written like GaGa's "Christmas Tree." So really, they can run the gamut from really good to cheesier than Velveeta. West Site Story of the Twitter Age

This is a little bit different, because I've never talked about a musical before. And it's not a traditional cover, because it's a spoof on a bunch of different songs. But Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story" is one of the most popular musicals on Broadway.

2 Live Crew Ruins Roy Orbison

The riff is iconic, the voice is warbling and dirty, the title became a hit Julia Roberts movie, and the song is instantly recognizeable. Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman" still holds up and has been used all over the place, from television to film to commercials to radio to any other medium employing sound that you can think of. So naturally, it had to be spoofed.
