So this isn't a traditional cover. In fact, it hasn't been recorded, and it's not even by an artist that people think of as a "musician" first. Everyone knows the song "Hey Jude," and if they don't, then they need to get on that. It's a classic, it's simple, it's Paul McCartney (my fellow blogger Norah's first love), it's sort of a no-brainer.

Let me make this clear. Usually, I'm not a fan of Beatles' covers. I liked "Across the Universe," yes, but that was a rare exception when the cover version didn't suck. They weren't the Beatles, but they were fresh enough to make up for that.
