On September 13, Richard Hamilton passed away.

Today, I have thoughts and feelings similar to those that I imagine most Americans feel on this particular date each year; but there was an element of shock added this morning, as it has been a full decade since the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Whatever happened to rebellious, edgy and utterly fabulous girl rock? All my single ladies haven't had a legitimately rocking movement since those Riot Grrrls took the Pacific Northwest by storm in the early 1990s.

Hiya, readers! It's been entirely too long, and for that I profusely apologize. I've had a busy, dynamic, stressful and mostly wonderful year so far. I hope that you all can say the same (minus the stress part, of course), and that you're as ready as I am to get back down to this business of music news.

By now, everyone has been exposed to the viral infection that is "Friday." It's auto-tuned, catchy, sophorific, and a bunch of other terrible adjectives. So obviously, the covers have been abundant.
