5 Great Covers You Probably Thought Were Originals

I was driving around with a friend of mine when “Hey Joe” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience came on the radio. A great song, we both agreed, and I added that the lyrics make it sound like an old blues number. My friend laughed and said that it indeed was an old blues number; “Hey Joe” had been around for years before Hendrix recorded his version.

Moroccan Multiculturalism

Ithaca College student Megan Devlin was among the lineup of American students standing across from the unfamiliar Moroccan families that would soon become their own. Her eyes met with those of a little girl who gazed back in familiarity. When Devlin’s name was called, the little girl ran into her arms, cradled her face in her hands and kissed her on both cheeks.

Opinion: Enough is Enough

Hardly any of this makes sense to me.

First, it started at a high school in Colorado and then happened in malls, movie theatres, an elementary school, and now a sporting event. These senseless acts of violence are slowly killing my faith in humanity. When will the people committing these violent acts realize that enough is enough?

The Major League Baseball season is quickly approaching, and for every team it is imperative that progress is made from the year before. This does not mean that all teams realistically have a shot or believe they can compete for a World Series. Rather, teams want to look for improvement, and prove to the rest of the league that they can be a force in their own right.
