Oscar Time!

Oscar time is upon us again! Last year, the Academy Awards moved from five to ten nominees for Best Picture. Whatever your feelings on the matter, it can at least be said that going out to see ten Best Picture films is more than a little daunting. No worries, though because between the two of us we’ve see all ten.


Haunting Film is Major Hit

In his fifth production, Darren Aronofsky, acclaimed director of The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream, presents a dark, Kafkaesque study of how far one will go to achieve perfection.


Mr. Sunshine freshens things up

It’s difficult to tell if Matthew Perry just happens to land roles where the characters all resemble each other, or if there’s something else going on. After the short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, he’s back to primetime television, once more the sardonic underdog, virtually Chandler Bing in disguise.

Oscar Predictions 2011

Picking “should wins” and “will wins” can be tricky, but at the end of the night, only one nominee per category will get to take home the big prize. So while we’re here to make our official predictions about who will take home the prize, we also want to celebrate some of the work that may not be recognized with a trophy on Sunday.
