Hear You Me

Cell phones, iPods, surround sound entertainment. The hills are certainly alive with the sounds of music. But at what point does our 21st-century love affair with loud noise threaten to turn us into Gramps with his hearing aid? A study done by the Hearing Loss Association of America in 2006 shows that about 15 of every 1,000 children under the age of 18 are hearing-impaired. That number doesn’t even include the number of people yet untested for hearing loss.
