I Know It's Not Your Fault...but You Are Such a Pain in the Ass

Riddle me this: why do ex's always call at the worst times? Get this, it's B's fabulous birthday and we all head out to that Mexican restaurant off of thirteen. We order a couple pitchers of margaritas and settle on some pretty amazing edibles...and are basically having some grade A fun.

And then he calls.

Hangs up twice. Then calls again. I do admit that I may have caused this contact, due to:

A) the drunk dial on Saturday that basically consisted of a string of curses, all left on his voicemail

B) the apology that I left for him the next morning, on his voicemail

It’s not like you’re magically better equipped to face another academic year; I mean let’s be honest, I still struggle to drag myself out of bed, and forget how many days it’s been since I took out the garbage, and forget the calendar that I stashed under my bed was actually meant to be used. (Oh, and most important, I cannot seem to tear myself away from watching television. I mean who can resist it.) But somehow, and don’t ask me how, I just suddenly feel like I know more.
