Lately I've been grappling with two very big life decisions: grad school or Teach For America? (This is assuming that I get into either!)
Amidst my mulling, creating pro and con lists, and general confusion I reached one important conclusion:
The safe way isn't always the smartest. I made the decision to apply to Teach For America based on fear. I felt afraid, and therefore I knew it was right.
I could be wrong, but I swear I'm on to something here. If something seems exciting, with a tinge (or a dose) of scariness... it just might be the best way to go.
