People from all walks of life have the ability to express themselves in whatever way they choose thanks to the endless possibilities of the Internet. But some of the results are, to be frank, just plain weird.

Face it, the Internet is a truly strange place. People from all walks of life have the ability to express themselves in whatever way they choose thanks to the endless possibilities of the Internet. But some of the results are, to be frank, just plain weird.
One such site is Ape-o-naut, a collection of information about famous primates. One of its main features is an introduction to the most glamorous monkeys throughout history, including Michael Jackson’s friend Bubbles and monkey astronauts.
For those whose cup of tea does not include monkeys practicing karate, there are more interactive sites, like Lonelysocks. The site was made to match socks from around the world that have lost their mate. A photo gallery explains how each was lost, and gives contact information of the owners, in case of a reunion.
Other interactive sites serve as a form of therapy for the viewer. One site, Bash My Ex, is a venting point for those who have been wronged in former relationships. Users can post any rant they want on the site, which allows for some interesting reads.
Pets are also major players in the weirdest of websites.
Take, for example, Dog Judo. The site features the antics of “Barking Bob Bones and “Ruff Rex Hunter, canine judo masters. Bob, a black belt, tries to teach Ruff a thing or two about real canine Judo in a collection of short video snippets. The videos conveniently play in your Internet browser - no download required.
Cats, however, seem to dominate the world of unusual pet sites. My Cat Hates You is a photo gallery of mean-looking, strange, or just plain ugly felines. Most have captions explaining why exactly each particular cat hoards hatred for humanity.
On the other side of the spectrum, Daily Kitten offers nothing but cute, cuddly kittens every day, and Carnival of the Cats shows cats from various blogs across the Net. According to the site’s mission statement, its purpose is simple
“[Our mission] to provide a non-political respite from the vehement echo chamber that the Blogopshere spins itself into during the week, demonstrating that even the mightiest and meekest of pundits have a love of cats in common.â€?
Then there are the utterly random sites. It is hard to discover the meaning of Obble.com, suffice to say that it is a strange juxtaposition of airplanes and Jell-o.
Some of the most random sites are uplifting, like Iskip. The site is dedicated to those people in the world who enjoy skipping, whether for fun or for exercise. It features a message board, merchandise and an international network of skippers. Skip, the site proclaims, “to feel like a kid again.
Others are just ridiculous, like Cheese Wars, where a variety of cheeses battle for justice in an online comic strip.
The opportunities to find wacky Web sites are endless. It seems that there’s a place for everything on the web, even warring cheeses and lonely clothing.

AFP - New Zealand's mysterious colossal squid, the largest of the feared and legendary species ever caught, was not the T-Rex of the oceans but a lethargic blob, new research suggests.
E! Online - Miley Cyrus is about to show up all those spoiled brats on My Super Sweet 16 who think they're cool being flown to their party by helicopter or when they're carried in like a princess by a group of hot dudes. The Disney Channel star will celebrate her sweet 16 by shutting down Disneyland for a private party (hmmm, we wonder how much choice she had in selecting that venue).
